Authenticated kernel compromise via iSCSI session race

Use-after-free in the Linux Kernel iSCSI target allows remote authenticated users to crash or compromise the kernel through session teardown. iscsit_dec_session_usage_count() calls complete() before releasing session_usage_lock, allowing the awakened waiter to free the session before spin_unlock_bh() dereferences it. CHAP- or ACL-authenticated iSCSI initiator access is required; exploitation can expose or alter kernel memory or force a kernel crash.
