CVE-2026-23187

Kernel-memory disclosure or crash via unbounded removal loop

Published Feb 14, 2026 · Updated Feb 14, 2026

An out-of-bounds read in the Linux Kernel imx8m block-control driver allows attackers with local access to expose kernel memory or crash the system. The loop in imx8m_blk_ctrl_remove() tests the constant nonzero num_domains value rather than the index bound, advancing beyond bc->domains. Reachability requires local privileges and removal of the affected IMX8M block-control platform device; the bounded consequences are kernel-memory exposure and a system crash.
