CVE-2026-23180

Out-of-bounds read via unchecked IRQ interface index

Published Feb 14, 2026 · Updated Feb 14, 2026

Out-of-bounds read in the Linux Kernel DPAA2 switch IRQ handler allows local users to trigger invalid kernel memory access. The handler takes if_id from the hardware status register and indexes ethsw->ports[] without checking it against sw_attr.num_ifs. Exploitation requires NXP DPAA2 switch hardware and a firmware bug or hardware anomaly beyond attacker control; network packets alone cannot trigger it.
