Service interruption via device-setup memory leak
Published Feb 14, 2026 · Updated Feb 14, 2026
Memory leak in the Linux Kernel octeon_ep driver allows local users to interrupt service when control-network initialization fails. The octep_device_setup() error path returns immediately after octep_ctrl_net_init() fails, leaving mapped resources and configuration memory unreleased. Local low-privileged access is required; the reported consequence is limited to resource exhaustion and service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
