Kernel workqueue failure via premature LED list insertion

Race condition in affected Linux kernel branches allows local users to trigger a kernel workqueue failure during LED registration. led_classdev_register() adds an LED to leds_list before led_init_core() initializes set_brightness_work, so concurrent default-trigger registration queues uninitialized work.
