CVE-2026-23026Hinoki check available

Service interruption via failed configuration reallocation

Published Jan 31, 2026 · Updated Jan 31, 2026

Memory leakage in gpi_peripheral_config() in Linux Kernel 5.11 through 6.19-rc5 allows local users to exhaust kernel memory. The function assigns krealloc() directly to gchan->config, so a NULL result discards the sole pointer to the existing allocation. The Qualcomm GPI DMA driver must hold an existing configuration when reallocation fails; no user-controllable trigger is documented, and unreclaimed kernel memory can interrupt service.
