CVE-2026-2302Network attack vector

Authenticated Ruby code execution via unrestricted method dispatch

Published Feb 10, 2026 · Updated Feb 10, 2026

Unsafe reflection in MongoDB Ruby Driver allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary Ruby code through a crafted criteria hash. Mongoid::Criteria.from_hash treats each attacker-controlled hash key as a method name and dispatches it with send without restricting it to query-building methods. Exposure requires an application to pass an attacker-influenced Hash to the deprecated conversion API; resulting code runs with the Ruby process's privileges.

Exploitability

Present is not the same as exploitable

Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
