CVE-2026-2293Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated middleware bypass via path normalization mismatch

Published Feb 27, 2026 · Updated Feb 27, 2026

Incorrect authorization in NestJS @nestjs/platform-fastify 11.1.13 and earlier allows remote attackers to bypass route middleware. In the Fastify adapter, middleware regex matching evaluates req.originalUrl without the router's path normalization, so a rejected variant passes to Fastify and reaches the same handler. The bypass requires route-scoped middleware plus non-default Fastify path-normalization options and permits access to handlers that the middleware should protect.
