Command injection in Deno before 2.5.6 allows remote attackers to execute commands through mixed-case Windows batch-file extensions. The Windows spawn-path guard compares extensions case-sensitively with lowercase .bat and .cmd literals, so .BAT or .Bat paths evade rejection. Exploitation requires an application to pass attacker-controlled arguments to a spawned batch file; shell metacharacters in those arguments execute additional Windows commands.
