CVE-2026-22809

Service interruption via greedy issuu_id regex

Published Jan 13, 2026 · Updated Jan 13, 2026

Regular expression denial of service in tarteaucitron.js before 1.29.0 allows attackers to interrupt service via a crafted issuu_id value. The Issuu service handler applies an unanchored expression with greedy capture groups to issuu_id, causing excessive backtracking and CPU exhaustion. Exploitation requires control of the site configuration value; the published assessment treats this as a local, high-privilege path with no confidentiality or integrity impact.
