CVE-2026-22799Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated code execution via unrestricted REST upload

Published Jan 12, 2026 · Updated Jan 12, 2026

Arbitrary file upload in emlog 2.6.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code through the REST API. Api_Controller::upload checks only that a file is present, while upload2local applies no extension allowlist and Media_Model::addMedia stores the resulting metadata without sanitizing the filename. A valid API key or administrator session cookie is required; a stored PHP script can then run with the web server's privileges and expose or alter server data.
