Command execution via unsanitized renderer HTML
Published Jan 21, 2026 · Updated Jan 21, 2026
Improper output encoding in 5ire before 0.15.3 allows remote attackers to execute commands by inducing a user to view crafted HTML. Renderer components pass untrusted highlighted content to dangerouslySetInnerHTML while executable event attributes remain intact, so JavaScript can call the exposed createServer bridge API. Exploitation requires user interaction with malicious content and can register a stdio MCP server that launches an attacker-chosen command on the local system.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
