CVE-2026-22790Public exploit

Code execution via unchecked SLAC payload length

Published Mar 26, 2026 · Updated Mar 26, 2026

Stack-based buffer overflow in EVerest Core before 2026.02.0 allows physically proximate attackers to execute code via SLAC frames. HomeplugMessage::setup_payload relies on an assertion to bound len, so release builds copy oversized network payloads into an approximately 1,497-byte stack buffer. Access to the charger's SLAC link is required; successful exploitation corrupts adjacent stack state and executes code in the charging process.
