Client-side script execution via unsanitized text source
Published Jan 14, 2026 · Updated Jan 14, 2026
Cross-site scripting in html2pdf.js before 0.14.0 allows remote attackers to execute scripts through a crafted text source. Worker.prototype.from passes string input to createElement, whose innerHTML assignment removes script elements but leaves event handlers active before DOM attachment. Exploitation requires an application to accept attacker-controlled text and a browser user to trigger PDF generation; code runs in the page's origin.
