Cross-user album disclosure via password propagation
Published Jan 12, 2026 · Updated Jan 12, 2026
Incorrect authorization in Lychee before 7.1.0 allows remote attackers to read other users' password-protected public albums. The Unlock::propagate method in app/Actions/Album/Unlock.php applies one valid album password to every public album sharing that password without checking album ownership. Exploitation requires a multi-user installation, password reuse across public albums, and a session that unlocks one matching album; access is read-only.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
