CVE-2026-22769Known exploitationNetwork attack vector

Root command execution via hardcoded Tomcat credentials

Published Feb 17, 2026 · Updated Feb 17, 2026

Hardcoded credentials in Dell RecoverPoint for Virtual Machines before 6.0.3.1 HF1 allow remote attackers to execute commands as root. Tomcat Manager stores shared admin credentials in /home/kos/tomcat9/tomcat-users.xml and accepts authenticated WAR deployment through /manager/text/deploy. Knowledge of the credential and network access to Tomcat Manager are sufficient to upload a malicious WAR, yielding operating-system control and persistent root access.
