CVE-2026-22762Network attack vector

Arbitrary file deletion via path traversal

Published Feb 17, 2026 · Updated Feb 17, 2026

Path traversal in Dell Avamar Server and related appliances allows remote authenticated users to delete arbitrary files. Dell identifies the affected component only as Security and has not disclosed the request, parameter, or pathname-validation operation that permits traversal. Exploitation requires high privileges and remote network access; the bounded reported consequence is file deletion, which can interrupt backup services and protected-data availability.
