TLS policy bypass via inverted bundle-name check
Published Apr 10, 2026 · Updated Apr 10, 2026
TLS policy bypass in Spring Cloud Gateway 4.2.0 allows remote attackers to compromise outbound connection integrity through default SSL settings. AbstractSslConfigurer.getBundle() returns null whenever the configured bundle name is nonempty, so the gateway never retrieves the named SslBundle. Exposure requires an application to name an SSL bundle for gateway HTTP client connections; the omitted key and trust material determine the consequence.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
