Unauthenticated endpoint access via handler mapping fallback
Published Mar 19, 2026 · Updated Mar 19, 2026
Authentication bypass in affected Spring Security releases allows remote attackers to reach protected application endpoints without credentials. The CloudFoundry Actuator handler maps only registered Actuator endpoints and delegates unknown reserved-path requests to ordinary application handlers instead of rejecting them. Exploitation requires a web application with Actuator and Spring Security plus a protected endpoint beneath the reserved path; the bypass exposes that endpoint's read or limited-write behavior.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=2.7.0 <=2.7.31
- Affected versionversion=3.3.0 <=3.3.17
- Affected versionversion=3.4.0 <=3.4.14
- Affected versionversion=3.5.0 <=3.5.11
- Affected versionversion=4.0.0 <=4.0.3
