Sensitive-data exposure via skipped cache headers
Published Mar 19, 2026 · Updated Mar 19, 2026
Missing HTTP response headers in affected Spring Security servlet applications allow remote attackers to expose sensitive data through caches. With HeaderWriterFilter.shouldWriteHeadersEagerly left false, the default, an application-set cache header causes the filter to skip all cache-related security headers. Affected servlet applications use 5.7.0 through 5.7.21, 5.8.0 through 5.8.23, 6.3.0 through 6.3.14, 6.4.0 through 6.4.14, 6.5.0 through 6.5.8, or 7.0.0 through 7.0.3 with lazy writing enabled; omitted cache controls can expose cached responses.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
