Guest-to-host information disclosure via out-of-bounds read

Published Feb 27, 2026 · Updated Feb 27, 2026

Out-of-bounds read in VMware Workstation 17.x and 25H2 allows guest OS users to disclose limited information from the host. Broadcom has not disclosed the affected Workstation component, the guest-controlled input, or the operation that reads beyond its intended buffer. Non-administrative access inside a guest VM is required, and the documented consequence is limited host-information exposure without integrity or availability impact.
