Cross-site scripting in Wikimedia Foundation Monaco 1.39, 1.43, 1.44, and 1.45 allows remote attackers to run script in wiki users' browsers. MonacoTemplate.php emits the monaco-footer-improve-linktext, monaco-view-history, and permalink interface messages as raw HTML without escaping. The public issue does not identify how attackers control those messages; exploitation requires passive user interaction and additional attack conditions.
