Administrator takeover via executable HTML uploads
Published Jan 10, 2026 · Updated Jan 10, 2026
Stored XSS in HAXTheWeb HAXcms (PHP) 11.0.6 to before 25.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to take over administrator accounts. The saveFile upload path accepts an HTML file that is served inline from the HAXcms origin, so its script can call refreshAccessToken with an administrator's cookie and read the returned JWT. Exploitation requires upload access and an administrator to visit the uploaded file; the stolen token grants full application control.
