CVE-2026-22682Public exploit

Denied-file read and write via omitted permission path

Published Apr 7, 2026 · Updated Apr 7, 2026

Incorrect authorization in OpenHarness before commit 166fcfe allows local users to read or write denied host files through agent tool calls. QueryEngine forwards only file_path to PermissionChecker, while read_file, write_file, edit_file, and notebook_edit supply path. Attacker-influenced tool execution bypasses deny rules for reads in default mode and for file creation or overwrites in full_auto.
