Authenticated SSRF via unvalidated Fal.ai polling URLs
Published Apr 3, 2026 · Updated Apr 3, 2026
SSRF in Fal.ai status polling in prompts.chat before commit 30a8f04 allows remote authenticated users to make arbitrary outbound requests. The status route passes two URLs from the token parameter to Fal.ai helpers, which fetch them with FAL_API_KEY in the Authorization header without origin validation. Any authenticated account can expose the key to an attacker-controlled server or probe internal services when Fal.ai integration is configured.
