Classic buffer overflow in Fortinet FortiSwitch AX Fixed 1.0.0 through 1.0.1 allows remote attackers to execute code via an LLDP packet. The LLDP packet-processing path copies attacker-controlled packet data without checking that the input fits the destination buffer. The attacker needs no credentials or user interaction but must send Layer 2 LLDP traffic from the same adjacent network; exploitation executes unauthorized code or commands on the switch.
