Recoverable project-file encryption in Eaton easySoft before 8.4 allows local users to read sensitive data and tamper via brute force. The project-file protection applies encryption that does not adequately resist brute-force recovery of its numeric password. Exploitation requires access to both the project file and a local host, after which protected contents can be read and modified without user interaction.
