CVE-2026-22613Network attack vector

Firmware upgrade interception via improper server identity check

Published Feb 9, 2026 · Updated Feb 9, 2026

Improper certificate validation in Eaton Network M3 before 2.3.3 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to intercept firmware upgrades. The command-shell upgrade path fails to securely validate the update server's identity, causing an intercepted connection to trust an attacker-controlled endpoint. Exploitation requires administrative access, user interaction, and interception of the server connection; Eaton has not detailed the resulting firmware or data effects.
