MFA bypass via repeated crafted requests
Published Mar 10, 2026 · Updated Mar 10, 2026
Authentication bypass in affected FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer deployments allows remote authenticated users to bypass MFA with crafted requests. Fortinet has not disclosed the request sequence, endpoint, or authentication-state error that skips the multifactor check. The attacker must know an administrator password; the bypass defeats the second factor and grants administrative access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=7.2.2 <=7.2.12
