Stored XSS via unchecked post metadata write
Published Mar 13, 2026 · Updated Mar 13, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Roxnor GetGenie 4.3.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run script in an administrator's browser. The REST action function accepts a user-controlled post key without verifying ownership, writes unsanitized metadata to arbitrary posts, and renders it in the Competitor tab. Author-level access is required to plant the payload, and a higher-privileged user must view the affected post tab for execution.
