Unauthenticated service interruption via bd process race
Published Feb 4, 2026 · Updated Feb 4, 2026
Race condition in F5 BIG-IP 17.1.0 through 17.1.2 allows remote attackers to terminate the bd process through crafted requests. F5 has not disclosed the request form or the shared resource that BIG-IP ASM or Advanced WAF handles without proper synchronization. Reachability requires a security policy on a virtual server and additional race conditions beyond attacker control; successful exploitation interrupts application-security processing.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
