Unauthenticated root command execution via web console
Published Feb 11, 2026 · Updated Feb 11, 2026
Missing authentication in METIS WIC oscore 2.1.234-r18 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute commands as root via /console. The web server routes requests to the web-based shell without checking session tokens, credentials, or request origin, and the shell runs with UID 0. Direct network access to the device's HTTP service is sufficient; successful access permits reading sensitive data, changing configuration, and interrupting device operations.
