Unauthenticated content injection via unchecked shortcode execution
Published Feb 19, 2026 · Updated Feb 19, 2026
Arbitrary shortcode execution in WPEverest Everest Forms 3.4.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject content into pages or posts. An unauthenticated action passes an insufficiently validated attacker-controlled value to WordPress do_shortcode(), causing supplied shortcode markup to be interpreted instead of treated as data. No account or user interaction is required; available shortcodes determine whether the result is limited to content injection or exposes additional site behavior.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
