CVE-2026-22271Network attack vector

Information exposure via unsecured CAS protocol

Published Jan 23, 2026 · Updated Jan 23, 2026

Cleartext transmission in the CAS protocol in Dell ObjectScale before 4.2.0.0 allows remote attackers to expose sensitive data. The enabled CAS service transmits sensitive protocol traffic without transport protection rather than securing or disabling the service. An attacker must reach CAS on TCP port 3218 and induce user interaction; Dell reports information exposure but does not identify the transmitted data.
