Victim-browser script execution via unencoded firstname
Published Feb 9, 2026 · Updated Feb 9, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Code Projects Online Reviewer System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in a victim's browser. The user-management handler in /system/system/admins/manage/users/btn_functions.php saves the firstname parameter and later renders it without sanitization or context-aware encoding. A high-privilege session is required to submit the payload, and another user must view the saved value before the script runs in that user's session context.
