CVE-2026-22201Network attack vector

Rate-limit bypass via trusted client IP headers

Published Mar 13, 2026 · Updated Mar 13, 2026

IP address spoofing in gVectors Team wpDiscuz before 7.6.47 allows remote attackers to bypass IP-based rate limits and bans. The getIP() function treats attacker-controlled HTTP_CLIENT_IP and HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR values as the requester's address instead of relying on a trusted network source. No authentication is required; forged headers let abusive requests evade controls keyed to the recorded client IP.
