Authenticated command execution via unsanitized AdminID
Published Feb 9, 2026 · Updated Feb 9, 2026
Command injection in D-Link DCS-933L firmware 1.14.0 through 1.14.11 allows remote authenticated users to execute OS commands. The alphapd setSystemAdmin handler takes AdminID from a POST request, strips only HTML whitespace, enforces a 1-to-12-character length, and inserts the remaining text directly into a shell command. Valid HTTP Digest administrator credentials are required; shell metacharacters can start services or run other commands with the camera's operating-system privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
