Gateway token disclosure via unverified loopback probes
Published Mar 18, 2026 · Updated Mar 18, 2026
Credential disclosure in OpenClaw before 2026.2.22 allows local users to capture a Gateway token through loopback CDP probes. getHeadersWithAuth adds the Gateway token to requests for /json/version without first verifying that the loopback port belongs to the extension relay. Exploitation requires an untrusted process on a shared host to bind or race the probed port; the captured token grants Gateway bearer access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
