Authenticated command execution via set_filtering input
Published Feb 9, 2026 · Updated Feb 9, 2026
OS command injection in D-Link DIR-823X 250416 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands through set_filtering requests. The sub_4211C8 handler behind /goform/set_filtering incorporates attacker-controlled filtering input into an operating-system command without sufficient validation. Administrative web-interface access is required; successful injection runs commands in the application's context and can compromise the router.
