Out-of-bounds read via excessive calculator operation count
Published Jan 7, 2026 · Updated Jan 7, 2026
Heap-buffer overflow in iccDEV before 2.3.1.2 allows remote attackers to read beyond heap bounds via a crafted ICC profile. SIccCalcOp::Describe advances through calculator operations using a count not capped to the available operation entries, so DescribeSequence reads beyond the allocated array. Processing the profile with iccToXml or a consuming library is required, and the public reproducer demonstrates a four-byte heap over-read rather than code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
