CVE-2026-22041

Log integrity disruption via numeric argument stringification

Published Jan 8, 2026 · Updated Jan 8, 2026

Incorrect type conversion in armurox Logging Redactor before 0.0.6 allows local users to disrupt log integrity through numeric arguments. RedactingFilter.redact stringifies every non-container, non-string value before logging format evaluation, so a numeric value supplied to a %d placeholder becomes incompatible with that conversion. The failure requires an application to use the filter with a numeric %-style placeholder and yields a TypeError instead of the intended formatted log record.
