CVE-2026-22016Network attack vector

Data disclosure via external entity resolution

Published Apr 21, 2026 · Updated Apr 21, 2026

XML external entity injection in JAXP in Oracle Java SE and GraalVM releases allows remote attackers to read all runtime-accessible data. JAXP XML processing resolves external entity references from attacker-controlled XML with the hosting runtime's access. Exploitation requires an application to pass untrusted XML to JAXP, such as through a web service, or sandboxed client code that processes untrusted content.
