CVE-2026-22003

Local data tampering and denial of service

Published Apr 21, 2026 · Updated Apr 21, 2026

Usage Tracker flaws in Oracle Java SE 8u481 and 8u481-b50 and GraalVM Enterprise Edition 21.3.17 allow local users to alter data or crash Java. Oracle has not disclosed the affected function or the wrong operation that the Usage Tracker component performs on untrusted input. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access, a separate user interaction, and a sandboxed client that runs untrusted applets or Java Web Start code; it permits critical-data modification and a hang or repeated crash, while trusted-code servers are unaffected.
