Stored XSS via unescaped administrator name
Published Feb 9, 2026 · Updated Feb 9, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in JFinal CMS 5.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to inject script through an administrator name. The /admin/admin/save endpoint stores the name field without neutralizing HTML, and an administrative view renders the saved value as executable markup. Administrative privileges are required to create the account, and another user's browser must display the stored name for the injected script to run in that user's session.
