Unauthenticated takeover via hardcoded Flask signing key
Published Mar 17, 2026 · Updated Mar 17, 2026
Hardcoded secret in Oracle Edge Cloud Infrastructure Designer and Visualisation Toolkit 0.3.0 allows remote attackers to gain control. The okitclassic/okitserver/config.py module assigns every installation the same static Flask SECRET_KEY, making signed authentication state forgeable. Remote attackers need unauthenticated HTTP access to the embedded web service; successful exploitation grants control of the toolkit and its data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
