CVE-2026-21882Public exploit

Local privilege escalation via privileged command re-execution

Published Mar 2, 2026 · Updated Mar 2, 2026

Local privilege escalation in AsfhtgkDavid theshit before 0.2.0 allows local users to execute arbitrary commands as root. The fix-command retry path re-executes the command stored in SH_PREV_CMD while retaining the process's effective root UID and GID instead of restoring the invoking user's IDs. Exploitation requires the tool to run through sudo or otherwise as root, exposing root command execution to an unprivileged local user.
