User enumeration via unescaped LDAP filter substitution
Published Jan 8, 2026 · Updated Jan 8, 2026
LDAP injection in Kanboard 1.2.48 and earlier allows remote attackers to enumerate directory users through the login form. The app/Core/Ldap/User.php getLdapUserPattern() function inserts the submitted username into LDAP_USER_FILTER with str_replace() without escaping LDAP metacharacters. LDAP authentication must be enabled and connected to a directory; injected wildcard or prefix filters disclose matching usernames and attributes, but LDAP bind still requires a valid password.
