Remote code execution via trusted-host file URL
Published Mar 2, 2026 · Updated Mar 2, 2026
Code injection in TOEVERYTHING AFFiNE before 0.25.4 allows remote attackers to execute local files via a crafted affine: URL. The hidden redirect-proxy accepts file URLs whose forged host passes its domain allowlist, then the Electron navigation handler sends the URL to shell.openExternal. A macOS user must visit an attacker-controlled page or activate a malicious link and approve the browser's AFFiNE protocol prompt; the resulting process runs with that user's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
