Administrator session hijacking via unchanged PHPSESSID
Published Feb 8, 2026 · Updated Feb 8, 2026
Session fixation in SourceCodester Prison Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to hijack administrator sessions through the login page. The /Admin/login.php path assigns PHPSESSID before authentication and preserves that identifier after administrator login instead of regenerating it. Exploitation requires an administrator to authenticate with the attacker-selected session token, after which the attacker can reuse it for administrative access.
