Backup Viewer code execution via SQL injection
Published Mar 12, 2026 · Updated Mar 12, 2026
SQL injection in Veeam Backup & Replication before 12.3.2 and 13.0.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute code as postgres. Veeam identifies CWE-89 but has not disclosed the affected request handler, SQL statement, or unsafely processed input. A Backup Viewer role is sufficient; successful exploitation grants database-account code execution on Windows backup servers and Linux-based software appliances.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
